Biography
Argentinian piano professor (Mar del Plata, 1968), educated in his native country by Eugenia Rozental, María Rosa Oubiña de Castro and Antonio De Raco.
He studied at both the “Luis Gianneo” and the “Juan José Castro” Conservatories, where he obtained the Advanced Piano Professor diploma. He followed masterclasses with Rosalyn Türeck, Miguel Ángel Estrella, Elsa Púppulo, Vladimir Bakk, and many others. Postgraduate studies with Nancy Roldán (“The Lester Roldán Piano Duo” – Baltimore, USA), Albert Attenelle and Jordi Mora (“L’Escola de Música de Barcelona”, Spain), Gui-Miche l Caillat (Geneva Conservatory, Switzerland) and Dario De Rosa / Maureen Jones (“Scuola Superiore Internazionale di Musica da Camera del Trio di Trieste”, Italy) with scholarships awarded by the “Mozarteum Argentino”, the “Rotary Club International” and the “Fundación Cultural Argentina”.
Member of the Núñez – Colombo Duo (numerous recitals in Argentina and Europe and recordings for radio and TV).
Jury of competitions, lecturer and guest teacher in courses and masterclasses in various countries of the world.
Since 2002 he has been the Director of the “Centro de Estudios Pianísticos” – CEP (Center for Piano Studies), an important cultural institution devoted to the development of talented young people. Founder of the “Vicente Scaramuzza” and “María Rosa Oubiña de Castro” prizes and the “Carmen Scalcione”, “Luis La Via” and “Carmen Díez Martín” scholarships.
Former professor at the “Collegium Musicum de Buenos Aires”, “Conservatori Professional de Música de Badalona”, “Fundació Cim d’Estela” (Barcelona) and “Utrechts Conservatorium – Hogeschool voor de Kunsten Utrecht” (The Netherlands).
His disciples are often awarded prizes, accepted in prestigious educational institutions, presented in concerts (as recitalists or soloists with orchestra) and included in ambitious artistic projects (integral versions, recordings, etc.).
For more than a decade he has been dedicated to the dissemination of the “Vicente Scaramuzza’s Piano School”, through frequent seminars for teachers, courses, masterclasses and lectures (Argentina, Spain, Norway, Germany, Italy), creation of teaching materials, recovery of written and audiovisual documents, etc.
Active promoter of young pianists and manager (concerts, competitions, exchanges, special early training programs, etc.). Organizer of more than a hundred masterclasses and scholarships by the most important pianists and pedagogues (Volodos, Gelber, Goerner, De Larrocha, Canino, Moguilevsky, Nebolsin, Jasinski, Béroff, Fliter, etc.).
